OUT OF SIGHT - OUT OF SOUL

The cover picture was taken with Lynn and John, in Elounda; the cat lost both eyes to an infection.

Bachelor thesis in cooperation with the veterinary pool of the Friends' Association Arche Noah Kreta eV and its veterinary pool.
In Crete, I took the time to meet the partners of the friends 'association who, together with the friends' association, are trying to improve the lives of the animals, take photographs of their work and portray them.

Antje, Rethymnon; collects money through flea market sales to finance her work with the street animals. It only takes in animals temporarily, for example when they are waiting for the flight to Germany.

Brigitte, Plakias, works with the Greeks, not against them - she successfully ensures that the local chain dogs are better off; Talking the Greeks out of a chain dog completely is doomed to failure, but most of them already see that a proper dog house is important and gradually remove the usual bins - an oven too cold in winter in summer. In addition, the owners keep Brigitte close enough to their dogs to do a quick check: open wounds? Ears clean? no infections? Chain long enough?

Marina, Chania, takes in animals, presumably too many, but an animal savior's heart finds it difficult to be restrained. She also feeds the animals (forbidden) at the military station.
